Intelligent Eating

The training starts from home. My mother understood the meaning of healthy eating. Her obsession extended to fruits, vegetables & homemade meals. Her favourite, as a snack has been – roasted chana & kismis, almonds, walnuts & fruits. So as kids where others got chips & candy, we got everything healthy. To everyone’s surprise, my exposure to roadside eating started only in my college years. The foundation laid was so strong that I would easily give a pass to pani puri stalls.

My food mantra is to include Simple, Seasonal & Home Cooked Food. Crash / Fancy / Fad diets are only temporary.

Food is a means to enrich your physical, mental, emotional & social well-being.

 

How do we go about it

  • Step 1 -Build a connection

    This makes the person more comfortable & ready for confession. Be it likes ,dislikes or fear with respect to medical problems / guilt / goals.

  • Step 2 -Detailed Assessment

    Read the medical reports, collect diet recall, understand lifestyle, professional set up & others.

  • Step 3- Tailor-made plans

    Everyone is unique & so will the intake be. Hence various factors are considered like age, gender, profession, cultural background, lifestyle, medical complaints & so on.

  • Step 4 - Planning sensible & practical goals

    Being realistic is the key. Slow & steady, we start with short term goals only to reach the desired one.

  • Step 5- Constant guidance & support

    We are in constant touch, either through messages or email.

  • Step 6 - Maintenance plan

    Once you have reached your goals, to maintain that is most important. How to manage eating out or at functions or meetings will be discussed.

The Success of the Program

During the process, the individual can unfold oneself and feel confident achieving minor but significant changes. The individual is educated enough about food concepts like choosing from the market options, cooking methods, or even eating mindfully. These are some of the things the clients start mastering.
