To say that Uttara introduced me to Yoga would be saying the biggest lie. I was introduced to Yoga at childhood and have been at various stages of growth, practicing it at different levels of enthusiasm. But never has it been so consistent and with passion as much as it has been since I started my Yoga practice with Ms. UTTARA DHANJAL.
Uttara has this great quality of making Yoga not as an exercise regime but as
a way of life. She becomes a teacher, a friend, a philosopher and guide who not just willingly dips into her deep and vast study of the subject and its affiliates but also listens to your experiences. So it is never a teacher-student relationship, but a comfortable space where your expression is heard, blended and moulded to suit your lifestyle.
I have known Uttara for over 5 and half years now and what has fascinated me, is that batches of students have come and gone, moved on, some returned with problems looking for more motivation, others to recharge their enthusiasm but almost all of Uttara’s students have kept in touch with her, because she approachable and never thrusts her knowledge or expertise on you. Like it is said Teaching is not an imposition of the teacher’s will over that of the student but starts with Freedom. And in Freedom there is growth. Uttara lets you grow and that is what I consider as the true base of YOGA.There are many friends who have grown to love and respect me more after I have introduced them to Uttara – they feel I have a good choice and knowledge of Yoga.
Not just yoga but her workshops on nutrition, wellness or detox have helped me a great deal. Eating right, at the right time, and adjusting your diet according to your erratic schedules has been a great lesson from Uttara

Dear Uttara..
You have really shown us the wonder of yoga, after years of back problems and Cervical pain, poor posture yoga has provided me relief and after several months I notice a significant improvement. Previously I tried physio therapy, massage, chiropractor and nothing provided me the results as yoga.
Since we are based in Singapore and were in lockdown,
we added 7-8Kgs is 2-3 months of lockdown and became very lethargic and then through a friend of mine, found you and you agreed to take online class through Zoom. At the first instance, we were not sure how can we do yoga online, but 2 or 3 sessions with you and the amount of detailing and posture correction that you were able to guide us, I was amazed and just decided to make online Yoga with you as part of my routine.
Today, I get up in the morning and my back spasm is gone and I also get a good sleep as well. Since I am a regular Badminton player and at the age of 45, flexibility and mobility and movements become slow but due to your core and spinal strengthening exercises my fitness and flexibility level has improved by 30 to 35% which is quite remarkable.
Today as a family, me and my wife Smita, we both have a positive approach on it now, it's an amazing experience with you every time as our mind and body working together in peaceful & meaningful way..
We both really feel stronger, more energized and willing to push ourself to the next level. In last several years, we never paid attention to our bone and muscles working in proper balanced way, but this has only happened with your dedication and encouragement and proper guidance, variations of yoga poses and postural corrections and alignment etc..
We have started loving our body more through yoga only. This pandemic is really stressful for all humans but thanks to you that we got in touch with you and started this transformation journey. Thank you, Uttara, for being our guide and mentor.
On my diet plan, though I could not follow it rigorously but I have managed to lose 4-5 Kgs and have seen good inches loss which is another milestone. But I have made a promise that in next 2 months of the program, I will focus to lose another 6 to 7 Kgs and lose another few inch.
